Insurgent Theatre's mission is to politicize theatre in this city from the ground up. In pursuit of this goal we are:

 - producing high quality locally written shows of a challenging and often politically controversial nature.

- developing sustainable alternative means of production that protect us from dependency and insolvancy while still allowing us to reward the talented people who work with us.

- building the theatre commmunity as a whole with our various non-traditional and outreach projects, which target new audiences and new talent.

- applying Rex Winsome's nascent theory of revolutionary social change through the radicalization of the creative class (read it!)
